We understand and agree that without the grant, we could not have built a building ourselves because we do not have the tax base. We would still have no place private or public for our citizens to gather for meetings, repast, family reunions, and other valuable community services/meetings. Because of this wonderful building, we now have a computer lab with Internet access, tables, chairs, and an alarm system donated entirely by the Mississippi Workers Center. Our entire staff consists of volunteers who keep the facility clean and keep the computer lab open most nights until 9:00. We hope to secure future funds for other needed projects in the Town.
